SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Kayah, Northern Shan States, scattered in Mandalay Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.34 inches in Manaung, 2.91 inches in Bago, 2.79 inches in Sittwe, 2.72 inches in Hlegu, 2.32 inches each in Maubin and Machanbaw, 2.24 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.16 inches in Okpho, 2.09 inches in Kyauktan and 2.05 inches each in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), Hinthada and Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22ndJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25 - 30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Saging Region and Kachin, Rakhine States.
