SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin, Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.11 inches in Zalun, 2.28 inches in Ye, 2.09 inches in Meiktila, 1.81 inches in Hlegu, 1.73 inches in Thabaung, 1.65 inches each in Taungdwingyi and Kawthaung, 1.57 inches each in Hmawbi(Agro) and Mawlamyinegyan, 1.54 inches in Yangon(Kaba-Aye),  1.42 inches in Myingyan and 1.36 inches each in Thazi and Kyaukpyu.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over the North Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States.
