SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The highest day temperatures were 37.5°C in Hlegu, 36.0°C each in Hkamti and Phyarpon, 35.8°C in Dawei, 35.7°C in Mawlamyine, 35.6°C each in Khayan, Shwekyin and Myawaddy, 35.5°C each in Taunggu and Nyaunglaybin and 35.4°C each in Homalin and Sagaing on 12-10-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.36 inches in Pyawbwe, 2.32 inches in Kyaukse, 1.66 inches in Madaya, 1.46 inches in Myinmu, 1.38 inches in Sinbyugyun, 1.34 inches in Myeik, 1.28 inches in Myittha, 1.18 inches in Wettigan (Laydatpyin), 1.00 inches in Kangyidaunt and 0.98 inch in Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.  

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
