BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu Coast still persists. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22th October 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.  

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwday, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.
