Monsoon is storng over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bangel. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bangel.

A slight earthquake of magnitude 3.6 (M) with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (41) miles east-southeast of Leshi), latitude 25.32 °N, longitude 95.60 °E, depth (72) kilometers, about (116) miles west-southwest of Myitkyina seismological observatory was recorded at (10) hr (04) min (08) sec M.S.T on 22nd August, 2026.
