BAY INFERENCE: : According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists.. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal ‌and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 15th May 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be in isolated Mandalay, Magway ,Lower Sagaing Regions and  Chin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States ,fairly widespread in Naypyitawand Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon , Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and  Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
