BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to storng over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate is elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 6th August 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region, isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Magway, Sagain, Ayeyarwaddy, Taninthayi  Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Tainthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Tanintayi Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
