24-8-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and North Odisha, India has reached over the North Coastal Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and the Northwest Bay of Bengal Still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and across North Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India during next 24 hours. Monsoon is storng over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bangel. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bangel.

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Sittaung River at Madauk has exceeded by about 1 foot above its danger level. It may fall about 2 inches during the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level.
It is especially advised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Madauk, to take precaution measure.
