25-8-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the West Bengal and adjoining areas of Jharkhand and North Odisha has reached Jharkhand, India. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and across Jharkhand, India during next 24 hours. . Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the 18:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Thanlwin River at Hpaan is observed as about 4 inches below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 1 day.

According to the 18:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Bilin River at Bilin is observed as about 2 feet and 3 inches below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 1 day.

It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Hpaan and Bilin Townships, to take precaution measure and to stay away from the flood-prone areas in time if the water level will rise.
