SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Rakhine State, scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Mandalay and Magway Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.92 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi), 3.12 inches in Khayan, 2.60 inches in Taungdwingyi, 2.56 inches each in Taungoo(Avia-Met) and Hlaingbwe, 2.24 inches in Phyarpon, 2.20 inches in Maubin, 2.10 inches in Danubyu, 2.00 inches in Paing Kyon and 1.97 inches in Labutta.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Northwest-Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts still persists. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Rakhine, Kayah and Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chi States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
