BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards. It is centered at about 460 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Kyaukpyu (Myanmar), 130 Nautical miles East of Visakhapatnam and 90 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Gopalpur, India. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 23rd September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon,  Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough sea will be experiencedoff and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Chin, Mon States.
