SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Southern Shan State, scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon. Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 14.37 inches in Coco Island, 2.99 inches in Kanbalu, 2.70 inches in Bogale, 2.05 inches in Meiktila, 2.00 inches in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), 1.89 inches in Hmawbi, 1.81 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 1.80 inches in Thabaung, 1.69 inches in Kyonpyaw and 1.65 inches in Yangon(Kaba-Aye).

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression which crossed North Andhra Pradesh and adjoining South Odisha Coasts between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur close to the Southwest of Kalingapatnam (India) has moved West-Northwestwards and may crossing interior regions of India and then weaken gradually. Monsoon is moderate the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Shan States, scattered in Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
