Severe Cyclonic Storm Condition

          According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “Murasu” which crossed South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Narsapur (India), close to Ongole (India) has moved North-Northwestwards and continue to cross interior regions of Andhra Pradesh States.

Next 24 hours forecast

          It is likely to move North- Northwestwards and gradually weaken into cyclonic storm during next 6 hours and into land depression during next 24 hours. Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flight and irrigation dams.
