PART ONE    : According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about within 1/2 degree of latitude (21.5)°N and longitude(87.5)°E. It is forecast to move West of Odisha Coast near Balasore by tonight.

PART TWO   : Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and  South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere  over the Bay of Bengal .

FORECAST FOR AREAS BETWEEN LAT. 10.5°N – 16.5°N AND LONG. 92°E

WEATHER    :     Widespread  rain or thundershowers with isolated heavy falls.

VISIBILITY   :       (4) nautical miles but less than (1/2) nautical mile in rain.

SURFACE WIND :  West or Southwest (10- 15)kts at times (30-35)kts.

SEAS    :             Rough.

WAVE HEIGHT    :  (9-12) feet.
