BAY BULLETIN

ISSUED ON : 20 – 3 - 2022 AT: 13:00 hrs M.S.T

COMPOUND :

PART ONE : According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Deep depression over North Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about within half degree of Lattitude 12.6°N and Longitude 93.8°E. It is likely to move Northwards along and off Andaman and Nicobar Islands and forecast to intensify into a cyclonic storm during next (12) hrs. It may lead to near Coco Island today evening, near Hainggyikyun, Ayeyarwady Region in the afternoon of (22.3.2022) and near Rakhine coast in the morning of (23.3.2022), Myanmar.

PART TWO : Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Southeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST FOR AREAS BETWEEN LAT. 10.5°N – 16.5°N AND LONG. 92°E

WEATHER : Widespread rain or thundershowers with isolated heavyfalls.

VISIBILITY : (3) nautical miles but less then (1/2) nautical mile in rain.

SURFACE WIND : South or Southeast (20 - 25) kts at times (40)kts.

SEAS : Rough.

WAVE HEIGHT : (10-14)ft.

FORECAST FOR AREAS BETWEEN LAT. 16.5°N – 20.5°N AND LONG. 92°E

WEATHER : Widespread rain or thundershowers with isolated heavyfalls.

VISIBILITY : (3) nautical miles but less then (1/2) nautical mile in rain.
