22-10-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu Coast(India), North Sri Lanka and Gulf of Mannar has reached over the Comorin Area (Southernmost tip of mainland India- Cape Comorin) and adjoining India(Southern coast of Tamil Nadu) and Keralam.Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.9) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (43) miles east-southeast of Mawlaik), latitude 23.45°N, longitude 95.07°E, depth (75) kilometers, about (34) miles northwest of Kanbalu seismological observatory was recorded at (07)hr (03)min (07)sec M.S.T on 6th February, 2026.
