24.8.2026 According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal and North Odisha, India now lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas of North Odisha, Jharkhand, India and Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and across West Bengal and adjoining areas of North Odisha and Jharkhand, India during next 24 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal . Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

PART I: According to the observations at (21:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal, off North Andhra Pradesh Coast(India) has moved to Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, off South Odisha Coast(India). It is centered at about within ½ degree of Latitude 18.1° N and Longitude 85.0° E and it is forecast to weaken gradually during next (24) hours.
