ISSUED ON : 24 – 11 – 2024 AT: 13:00 hrs M.S.T

COMPOUND :

PART ONE : According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial India Ocean has intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days.

PART TWO : Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST FOR AREAS BETWEEN LAT. 10.5°N – 16.5°N AND LONG. 92°E

WEATHER : Scattered rain.

VISIBILITY : 4 nautical miles but 1 nautical mile in rain.

SURFACE WIND : East or Northeast 5-10 kts at times 20 kts.

SEAS : Slight to moderate.

WAVE HEIGHT : 4-7 ft.
