SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with  regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and  Mon State and  isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 7.80 inches in Wundwin, 5.94 inches in Kyaukse, 5.08 inches in Singaing, 4.88 inches in Mawlamyine, 4.57 inches in Kyaukpyu, 4.53 inches in Ywangan, 4.43 inches in Dedaye, 4.33 inches in Myitnge, 3.86 inches in Kungyangon and 3.86 inches in Patheingyi(Shwesayan). 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th August 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
