SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.09 inches in Kyeikkhame, 3.15 inches in Mingin, 2.95 inches in Chaungsone, 2.87 inches in Kungyangon, 2.83 inches in Tada U(Avia-Met), 2.76 inches in Phyarpon, 2.56 inches in Thabeikkyin, 2.52 inches in Myinmu,  2.45 inches in Patheingyi and 2.36 inches in Kalay.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and  moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States.
