BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved westwards now lies over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 420 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe(Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles East of Visakhapatnam and 170 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur, India.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay,  Upper Sagaing  Regions and Eastern State  and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and  Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay,  Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
