SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions, scattered in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Chin, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.71 inches in Dawei, 2.64 inches in Myeik, 2.09 inches in Belin, 2.01 inches in Naypyitaw(Zeyarthiri), 1.93 inches in Kyauktan, 1.81 inches in Ye, 1.57 inches each in Kyeikkhame and Theinzayet, 1.34 inches in Heho, 1.18 inches in Labutta, 1.14 inches each in Shwekyin and Ywangan.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak over elsewhere the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the  North Bay and Westcentral  Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

Special Features: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure cell has formed over the Central Thailand near Bangkok. It is likely to move Northwest wards and may cross Southern Myanmar Area during next 24 hrs. People should be awared the Natural Disaster such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, flash flood and landslide due to the inpacts of  low pressure cell. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in  Taninthayi Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

 STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough sea will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
