BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic storm “Murasu” over the Westcentral and adjoining  Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards and intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm “Murasu”. It is centered at about 635 Nautical miles west of Coco Island (Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Chennai and 170 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Machilipatnam, India.Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral and Southwest Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy  over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 2nd November 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan States, scattered in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.                                               

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.  

STATE OF THE SEA:  Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
