ISSUED ON : 09 - 5 – 2023 AT: 14:00 hrs M.S.T

COMPOUND :

PART ONE : According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea still persists. It is likely intensify into a Depression during next (9) hrs and into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Central Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea around (10.5.2023). The Cyclonic Storm is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal around (12.5.2023) and then recurve North- Northeastwards and move to Bangladesh-Myanmar Coasts.

PART TWO : Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST FOR AREAS BETWEEN LAT. 10.5°N – 16.5°N AND LONG. 92°E

WEATHER : Widespread rain or thundershowers.

VISIBILITY : (4) nautical miles but (1) nautical mile in rain.

SURFACE WIND : South or Southeast (10 - 15) kts at times (25-30)kts.

SEAS : Moderate to rough.

WAVE HEIGHT : (7 - 10)ft.

WEATHER : Isolated rain or thundershowers.
