Monsoon is storng over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bangel. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bangel.

A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.8 (M) with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Northern Sumatra, Indonesia), latitude 3.01°N, longitude 99.06°E, depth (168) kilometers, about (972) miles south-southeast of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (17) hr (24) min (52) sec M.S.T on 15th August, 2026.
