It is likely to move Northwestwards and across North Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India during next 24 hours. Monsoon is storng over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bangel. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bangel.

A slight earthquake of magnitude 3.8 (M) with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (3) miles southwest of Pyigyitagon), latitude 21.87 °N, longitude 96.07 °E, depth (11) kilometers, about (10) miles south-southwest of Mandalay seismological observatory was recorded at (15) hr (38) min (55) sec M.S.T on 21st August, 2026.
