According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, a Low Pressure Area may form over the North Andaman Sea.

It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may reach over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal, during next 24 hours and intensify gradually into a Depressionover the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal, during next 48 hours and than into a Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal, during next 72 hours. Continuing to move West-Northwestwards and it is likely to reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal near South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh, India during next 96 hours.
General caution
Due to the Low Pressure Area, rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States and fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States during today evening to 23-9-2026.
Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flight and irrigation dams.
