(Issued at (19:00) hours M.S.T on (09- 11 -2018)
According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Andaman Sea now lies over Central part of Andaman Sea still persists. It is forecast to move West-Northwest wards and intensify into a depression during next (36) hours.
General Caution
Due to the Low pressure area, rain will be scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Thaintharyi Regions, (Eastern and Southern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States within 48 hours commencing evening today.
Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts.
