24-8-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and North Odisha, India has reached over the North Coastal Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and the Northwest Bay of Bengal Still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and across North Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India during next 24 hours. Monsoon is storng over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bangel. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bangel.

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Ayeyarwady River at Pakokku is observed as
about ½ foot below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 12 hours.
It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Pakokku Township to take pre
caution measure and to stay away from the flood-prone areas in time if the water level will rise.
