          According to the observations at 06:30 hrs MST today, due to the monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal,  the strong development of the convective clouds and the unstable air condition over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal such as rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Shan States and fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States during today morning to 20-9-2026.

          Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

          People should be awared are due to the monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal, the strong development of the convective clouds and the unstable air conditions over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.
