General Long Range Water Level Forecast (28.4.2016)

During the months of May and June (Early Monsoon period), the water levels along the Ayeyarwady, Chindwin, Thanlwin, Sittoung, Dokhtawaddy, Shwegyin, Bago and Ngawun Rivers will rise above the present water levels but it may not reach their respective town danger levels.

During the Months of July and August (Mid Monsoon Period), the water levels may exceed one time each their respective town danger levels at Homalin, Phaungpyin, Mawlaik, Kalewa, Mingin and Monywa of the Chindwin River, at Katha, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Hinthada and Zalun of the Ayeyawaddy River, at Myitnge of Dokhtawaddy River, Toungoo and Madauk of Sittoung River, Shwegyin of Shwegyin River, Hpaan of Thanlwin River, Bago of Bago River and Ngathaingchaung of Ngawun River.

During the Months of September and October (Late Monsoon Period), the water levels may exceed one time each their respective town danger levels at Homalin, Phaungpyin, Mawlaik, Kalewa, Mingin and Monywa of the Chindwin River, at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo , Hinthada and Zalun of the Ayeyawaddy River, at Myitnge of Dokhtawaddy River, at Hpaan of Thanlwin River and Ngathaingchaung of Ngawun River.
