8-9-2024:: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 370 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, 440 Nautical miles West  of  Thandwe (Myanmar), 145 Nautical miles East of Kalingapatnam(India), 105 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur, 100 Nautical miles South of Paradip and 190 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

During the month of May , the water levels along the Ayeyarwady, Chindwin, Thanlwin, Sittoung, Dokhtawaddy, Shwegyin, Bago and Ngawun Rivers will rise above the present water levels but it may not reach their respective town danger levels.
