10-1-2026 According to the observations at 17:30 hours MST today, the Land Depression which crossed the North Sri Lanka has been moved West-Northwestwards slowly and continue to move West-Northwestward and gradually weaken during next 12 hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
EARTHQUAKE NEWS
A moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.1) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (10) miles north-northeast of Mohnyin), latitude 24.91°N, longitude 96.43°E, depth (6) kilometers about (51) miles north of Katha seismological observatory was recorded at (04)hr (09)min (34)sec M.S.T. on 17th January, 2019.
