23-10-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal (off Tamil Nadu coast, India) has moved Northwestwards and crossed North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and weakened into a Low pressure area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5th August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along  Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
