SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Chin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Moekok (6.10)inches, Taungkok (5.75)inches, Kanbalu (3.94)inches, Sittwe (2.84)inches, Shwegyin (2.75)inches, Belin (2.72)inches, Myitkyina (2.68)inches, Thandaunggyi (2.40)inches and Singaing (2.00)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 16th August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States.
