24-2-2026 According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A low pressure area may form over the South Bay of Bengal and may further intensify into a depression. Weather will be generally fair in the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy days

          Above normal rain are likely in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States, about normal in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin State and below normal in the remaining Regions and States.

Rainy days are expected about (3) to (4) days in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States and about (1) to (2) days in the remaining Regions and States.

Night Temperature

Night temperature will be slightly below normal in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States and about normal in the remaining Regions and States.

Fog Condition

Foggy Days are expected about (6 to 8) days in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Kayah States and about (3 to 5) days in the remaining Regions and States.
