Depression

According to the observations at (16:00)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over  Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved to East-Northeast wards. It is centered at about (100)miles Southeast of Paradip (India), (230)miles South- Southwest of Kolkata (India), (235)miles Southwest of Khepupara(Bangladesh) and (315)miles South-Southwest of Sittwe(Myanmar). It is forecast to move Northeast wards and likely to cross Bangladesh coast during next (24)hrs.

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of depression, Center pressure and wind

Depression is located at Latitude (18.8) degree North and Longitude (87.5) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is about (30)miles per hour at (16:00) hrs MST today.

General caution

Under the influence of the depression, rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered to fairly widespread with isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan and Northern Rakhine States during (6.11.2016) to (8.11.2016).

Under the influence of the depression, Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) to (40)m.p.h. 

Advisory

Trawlers, vessels and ships Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts are advised to avert in condition of depression.
