4-9-2025::  According to the observations at 05:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha coast has moved west-northwestwards over the North Odisha coast. It is likely continued to move west-northwestwards and cross North Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh, India and gradually weakened during next 24 hrs.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Deep Depression

          According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved North wards and further intensify into a deep depression. It is centered at about (560)miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam (India), (610)miles East-Southeast of Machilipatnam, (190)miles Northwest of Car Nicobar (India) and (245)miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar). It is forecast to move Northwest wards.

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the deep depression is coded yellow stage.

 Position of deep depression, Center pressure and wind

          Deep depression is located at Latitude (11.3) degree North and Longitude (90.3) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1000) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is about (40) miles per hour at (05:30) hrs MST today.

Next (24)hrs Forecast

          It is forecast to further intensify into a cyclonic storm during next (24)hrs.

         

General caution

          Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.

Trawlers, vessels and ships Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts are advised to avert in condition of depression.
