25-11-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is almost stationary and may intensify into a depression. Due to the Well Marked Low Pressure Area, occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over Extreme Southern parts of India, Comorin Area and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka. It is likely to become to more marked. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.6) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (India-Bangladesh Border Region) about (295) miles Northwest of Mandalay seismological observatory was recorded at (15)hrs (39)mins (00)secs M.S.T on  3rd  January,  2017.
