21-5-2025: Southwest monsoon has advanced into the Central Myanmar areas and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, Eastcentral and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 6th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in (Eastern& Southern)Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30) to (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of southwest monsoon from Deltaic areas.
