SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin and Northern Shan States, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing region, Eastern Shan and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States with isolated heavy falls in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hainggyigyun (3.70)inches, Manaung (3.39)inches, Aunglan (2.72)inches, Pyinmana (Walgyi) (1.42)inches, Monywa (1.37)inches, Bago (1.34)inches and Hlaingtat (1.30)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, Southern Shan, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State.
