28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Depression Condition

            According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the interior of West Bengal (India) has slowly moved West-Northwestwards and still persists. 

During next (36) hrs forecast

The Deep Depression is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards and weaken into a Depression during next 12 hours and may cross continue inland of India during next 36 hours.

General caution

Due to the Deep Depression, rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Rakhine State and scattered to fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Chin State with heavy rainfalls from tonight to next (24) hrs. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Under the influence of deep depression, people should be awared heavy rain with strong wind, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and also domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
