 24-7-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move towards West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha Coasts, India during next 36 hours. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Two low pressure areas may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a depression. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal from Deltaic areas during (2-8) of October and from Southern Myanmar areas during (9-15) of October. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal and monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers are likely above normal in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States.

Rainy days are expected about (14) to (20) days in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayin, Mon States and about (8) to (13) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin,  Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States.
