3-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining near Deltic coast, Myanmar still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may reach over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal and off and along Rakhine coasts and adjoining Deltic coasts during next 36 hours.  Weather is cloudy over the North Andaman Sea, Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy South Andaman Sea  and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Deep Depression

According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 770 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 405 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1002 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35.

It does not intend to move towards Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Deep Depression is coded as yellow stage.

Forecast

 It is likely to continue to move North-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm around 27-11.2024. Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move North-Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days.

Due to the Deep Depression, rain are likely to be isolated to scatted in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States from 28-11-2024 to 30-11-2024.
