According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial India Ocean. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify during next 24 hrs. Thereafter, its likely to move over Southwest Bay of Bengal (off Sri Lanka - Tamil Nadu Coast, India) around 11-12-2024.
