Bay of Bengal Condition

According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the wind wave has crossed over the Magway Region and Rakhine State, which has moved West-Northwestwards and continue to crossing over the Rakhine, Chin States and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal. It may further intensify into a Low Pressure Area over the North Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.
Due to the low pressure area, may form over the North Bay of Bengal and vigorous monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread to widespread in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States with isolated heavyfalls Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine States during today noon to 3-9-2025. Occasional squalls with rough seas are will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flight and irrigation dams.
