BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th February 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and scattered in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin State, isolated in Npy Pyi Taw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin,Rakhine, (Northern and Southern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway and Lower Sagaing Regions .
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 6-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
