2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (24) miles northeast of Mawlaik), latitude 23.95°N, longitude 94.59°E, depth (70)kilometers about (25) miles southeast of Tamu seismological observatory was recorded at (16)hr (36)min (48)sec M.S.T on 20^th January, 2018.
