27-10-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwest and reached over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 515 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 260 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 305 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify Severe Cyclonic Storm may form on 28-10-2025 and may cross Andhra Pradesh Coast on that night. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Two low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a depression. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal in Northern Myanmar Areas during 14-19 of September, Central Myanmar Areas during 20-25 of September and Deltaic Areas during 26 September to 1 October. Monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day 

Rain or thundershower will be expected above normal in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayah, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, below normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about normal in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Northern Shan States.

Rainy days will be expected about 21 to 25 days in Yangon, East Bago, Ayeyarwaddy, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States, about 16 to 20 days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, West Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and about 11 to 15 days in  Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States.
