13-9-2025: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (Off North Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and across South Odisha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh and South Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Southen Shan States, scattered in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Eastern Shan States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.50 inches each in Paing Kyone and Kyaiklat, 2.28 inches in Coco Island, 1.57 inches in Phyu, 1.52 inches in Kangyidaunt, 1.50 inches in Ywangan, 1.46 inches in Ye, 1.38 inches in Hlaingbwe, 1.24 inches in Ngapudaw, 1.22 inches in Hlegu and 1.18 inches in Dawei.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Southern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region.
